Aquaman V/S Black Panther (Movie)


Aquaman and Black Panther are two superhero movies but from two different universes. One is from DCEU and another is from MCU. After watching both movies, some similarities I found. Similarities in characters, story, etc. Don't you? Having similarities in both universes is not a big thing to think. After all the main creators of both universes used to live in the same room.




Check the similarities I found down below -





A Different World but on the Earth- Black Panther is King of Wakanda. A place situated inside Africa but no one knows exactly if it is real or not. The same way another world is just guessing if Atlantis is real or not. Aquaman is a king of Atlantis. Atlantis is situated under the sea.










Technically Advanced- Both the world, Atlantis and Wakanda is technically so much advanced than another world. Weapons, GPS systems, Computers etc. With that technology, they can easily overpower other Earth.

Fight between Brothers for Throne- In both the movies, The story is about two brothers fighting to be the King. One of them is Half Breed. One of them Had birth & Lived out of his own world. The only difference is in MCU's Black Panther " The Bad Brother (Killmonger)" is from the outer world while in DCEU's Aquaman "The Good Brother(Arthur/ Aquaman)" is from outer World. The Bad one is want to rule the other world because of pain outer world giving to his world.






The First Battle




First Fight- Before the interval, there is a fight between these two brothers. The fight is won by The Bad One - Orm and Killmonger. But luckily both Good One Aquaman and Black Panther got survived this match.

Powers- In Aquaman, Atlantian consist of power from Fishes while in Black Panther they have power from animals.

One polite servant- In Black Panther, There is Okoye, A servant to the throne of Black Panther. In Aquaman, There is Vulko. A servant to the Atlantis Throne. The main motto of these two characters is to serve the Throne even if the one who seats on it has no good intentions. But they help the Good One' from other ways.

Some other similarities but with other MCU movies-





Worthiness- In MCU, Only worthy people can lift Thor's Hammer Mjolnir. Same way In Aquaman, Only worthy King can take out the Trident from Atlant's grip.

Dead shows the way- In Aquaman, Everyone thinks that Atlanta (Mother of Aquaman) is dead but no! She is not dead and she is the one who shows Arthur the way to Atlant's Trident. In the same way, In Avengers- Infinity War, Red Skull seems to be dead but He is the one who surprises all viewers and shows Thanos the way to Soul Stone.
